Eurasian Conformity Certificate – it is a document certifying the compliance of given products with the Technical Requirements of the Customs Union. Approving products’ conformity with technical regulations and national standards grants the entrepreneur the following privileges:
No need to issue a separate document for each of the union countries;
Remarkable decrease in the certification procedure execution time;
Quicker exchange of commodities between the involved countries that positively affects their economies;
Significant boost in sales for certified companies, as well as their further development prospects.
Certificates claiming the conformity of the offered goods with Union Technical Requirements cover all the goods produced within the border of the Customs Union, as well as those supplied by outside producers. Requirements concerning both types of commodities are exactly the same.
Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan are the members of the Customs. The discussed certificate may be issued for the period of 1, 3, or 5 years.
Customs Union Declaration of Conformity
Customs Union Declaration of Conformity - it is a document certifying the compliance of given products with the Technical Requirements of the Customs Union. The Customs Union Declaration of Conformity is required from the entrepreneur to be granted the possibility to import goods to and sell them on markets of the members of the Customs Union (Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan). The said document confirms that the commodities in question comply with all the Technical Requirements and are allowed to be used in Customs Union Countries. The declaration in question supersedes the former Mandatory GOST-R Certificate.
The Customs Union Declaration of Conformity can be only issued to a producer or a supplier being a legal person or an individual entrepreneur the business activity of whom has been registered in the Russian Federation. The said declaration cannot be issued to a foreign producer. Only individual entrepreneurs or legal persons from Russia can apply for the document.
The declaration includes the following:
Information on the recipient – a member of the Customs Union,
Information on the producer,
Information on an examination and certification body,
Date and place of document issuing
The Customs Union Declaration of Conformity may be issued for 1, 3, or 5 years, as well for a given bath of goods or products.
Certificate of State Registration of Customs Union
An official document certifying that the goods which have undergone the national registration procedure comply with all the set sanitary and hygienic norms in force within the borders of the Customs Union.
Only the products (as well as materials, substances, and items alike) directly specified in the second part of the index of goods to be controlled on the area of Customs Union have to be covered by the certificate in question. Those are the following:
Drinking water poured to bottles and other containers (curative, mineral, and drinking water);
Alcoholic beverages and beer;
Food products for infants and breastfeeding women;
Biological and chemical materials/substances that may potentially pose threat to human health and life, as well as that my pollute the environment; materials and substances included in the international index of hazardous substances;
Products designed to be used by children up to 3.
The following documents are to be presented to the certifying body in order for the certificate to be issued:
Application for the Certificate of State Registration of Customs Union to be issued filled in in compliance with the available template;
Copy of technical documentation;
Copy of documentation confirming the quality and safety of the products;
Sample choice act and product examination-related protocols;
Registration data of the producer/seller;
Additional documents requested.

The EAC symbol is a sign that a given product has undergone all the required conformity procedures and complies with the set Customs Union requirements, making it possible for the said product to be labeled with the EAC logo. The Certificate may be issued for 1, 3 or 5 years.
Certain groups of products have to be certified before their introduction to western markets. Those are, for example: construction machinery, industrial goods made out of metal, agricultural machines, electrical devices, etc...
